June 3, 2026   BCCA Virtual AGM

June 9 - Livestock Management Field Day - Rock CreekAttendees will begin the day with a pasture walk at the Rock Creek Ranch, owned by Richard and Ashley Vander Kooi, and discussion about cropping strategies and nutrient-rich feed production. Lunch will be provided to all attendees. The afternoon will include a nearby field tour and discussion around management strategies for the reduction of impact from elk and other wildlife.

June 10 - Livestock Management Field Day - Creston

Attendees will begin the day with a pasture walk at Big Rock Simmentals and discussion about grazing management, followed by a provided lunch at the ranch. Please bring lawn chairs!

In the afternoon, the tour will continue at Big Rock Simmentals, and include discussion about cropping strategies, climate readiness, reduction of wildlife impact on crops and stored feed, and business diversification.

June 11 - Livestock Management Field Day - Grasmere

Attendees will begin the day with a pasture walk at Loon Lake Range and discussion about grazing management, followed by a provided lunch at the Grasmere Pioneer Hall. The afternoon tour will be at the nearby Top Field Ranch where attendees will do a field walk, view their pivot irrigation system, and discuss management strategies in relation to impact from wildlife and climate challenges!

Attendees need to be at Grasmere Pioneer Hall by 9:30 am, in preparation to leave for the first stop at 10 am sharp!

June 12 - Livestock Management Field Day - Parson

Attendees will participate in a crop and pasture walk and discuss farm business management. You will have an opportunity to learn about the business diversification ventures at Kingsclere Ranch Ltd. including agro-forestry, canola manufacturing and technology development.

Lunch will be provided to all attendees! Please bring lawn chairs!

BC Forage Council is excited to be heading to Crystal Lake Ranch in Malakwa, BC for a Virtual Fencing Field Day, on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. Participants will be able to see virtual fencing in action, as well as explore other innovative tools and systems being used enhance grazing and forage management at the ranch, including drone seeding and intercropping for forage production and biodiversity. Throughout the day we will hear from Jody Stump (RPF, PAg), Mike Witt (PAg, CCA) and Serena Black (PAg). Lunch and refreshments.              Register Here
