Our vision is a sustainable cattle industry that serves and enhances the vibrancy of our communities.
The BC Cattlemen’s Association (BCCA) is the official voice of cattle ranchers throughout the province. Since 1929, the BCCA has served beef producers and currently works on behalf of over 70% of BC’s cattle herd.
The BCCA is a grassroots organization made of up eight zones that encompass 14 regional and 30+ local associations, each of which is a registered society with its own bylaws. Members become part of the BCCA by joining a regional or local association in their area.
Our mission is to promote, support and protect a healthy cattle industry that provides quality beef products and is guided by strong membership, environmental stewardship, respect for stakeholders and excellent business practices.
Funding for BCCA activities comes from membership fees and check-off dollars collected by the Cattle Industry Development Council, while the Beef Cattle Industry Development Fund provides grants for individual projects that meet its funding priorities.
