Certified Livestock Transport Conference - May 6, 2015, Calgary AB
Canadian Livestock Transport (CLT) is excited to announce that they will be bringing livestock transportation back to center stage, a decade after the inaugural livestock transportation conference was hosted in Calgary in 2005. CLT is pleased to once again deliver this highly successful conference on May 6th, 2015, in conjunction with the Animal Transportation Association’s (ATA) International Conference.

Canada Beef's Centre of Excellence Officially Opens
March 9, 2015 – Calgary, AB – The Honourable Gerry Ritz, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, and the Honourable Michelle Rempel, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification, joined Canada Beef Chair Jack Hextall and President Rob Meijer to announce the opening of the Canadian Beef Centre of Excellence.

BCRC expands BeefResearch.ca to include external researchers' work
The Beef Cattle Research Council (BCRC) is pleased to announce another step toward enhanced knowledge dissemination and technology transfer in the Canadian beef industry.
The BCRC’s website, www.beefresearch.ca, now has the capability for other organizations that fund beef, cattle and forage-related research of interest to the Canadian beef industry to create and submit research summaries to the website.

National Beef Strategy launches videos
The National Beef Strategy is all about a new way of doing business. Officially unveiled on January 7, the National Beef Strategy calls for a transformative change in how industry meets the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead with the goal to benefit all sectors of the industry.
A series of videos has been produced to provide industry stakeholders and producers insight into what the new strategy is all about.

BC Government Announces new water pricing structure
Yesterday, the BC government announced changes to water pricing as part of the Water Sustainability Act review.
The provincial government is taking steps to ensure British Columbia’s water resources will be safely and effectively managed for generations. To support B.C.’s modernized water legislation a new fee and rental schedule for users is being introduced.
