Today has been proclaimed BC Beef Day!

May 6, 2025 (Victoria, BC) - BC Premier, Hon. David Eby has proclaimed May 6th, 2025 as BC Beef Day to celebrate the vital role BC cattle ranchers play in our province as food producers and stewards of the lands. We would like to thank the Premier and Minister Popham for their continued support of the beef industry and the work we do to ensure everyone can enjoy beef on the supper table for years to come.

Ranchers from around the Province are at the Legislature today to meet with Government to discuss key issues that the cattle industry is facing. BCCA is also hosting a BC Beef BBQ to showcase the top quality meat that is raised in our province. Locally raised beef will be prepared and served by the award winning BBQ Pit Masters; House of Q.

Beef Day is a tribute to the long, vibrant, community oriented history of ranching in BC that stretches across all corners of the province and is woven into our identities as cattle producers who continue to work diligently as stewards of the lands we rely on. A healthy, natural environment and strong economic outlook is vital to our industry.

We welcome the people of British Columbia to enjoy this quality product generated by BC ranchers on the lands we care for and protect.
