The North Okanagan is facing its lowest snowpack readings ever recorded in 41 years of measuring in our local watersheds. These conditions will challenge all resource users to become more water wise as water becomes an even more valuable commodity. The North Okanagan Livestock Association has invited a group of speakers who will provide greater awareness to these challenges. Lead speaker will be Nelson Jatel, Water Stewardship Director with the Okanagan Basin Waterboard who will provide us with incite on the Boards efforts to find an Okanagan solution. Other representatives from industry and government will be attending and discussing the Modernization of the current Water Act. More info
