Ranchers are raising awareness of their industry by bringing the ranch to your radio.
This radio awareness program, designed and written by the BC ranching industry, began in February 2007 however, due to funding shortfalls the BC Ranching Moments has now concluded.
About the Program Radio announcements were played throughout the BC interior, from Fort St. John all the way to Cranbrook. To help British Columbians enjoy Canadian beef more often, radio listeners will be can enter to to win a $25 gift certificate for the purchase of Canadian Beef (donated by Overwaitea/Save-On Foods). In addition, contest winners also received the popular "I Love Canadian Beef" cookbook featuring colour photographs and mouth-watering beef recipes from the Beef Information Centre. Evaluation The BC Cattlemen's Association conducted a public opinion survey to measure the effectiveness of our BC Ranching Moments radio program. Overall, the survey was positive showing that public opinion improved as a result of the program.
